Is responsible for sharing oversight with maintenance activities including routine and turnaround maintenance throughout the plant. Works directly with other departments in the plant to help ensure efficient operation and minimize down time within manufacturing/mining operations.-- Works with front line supervisors/planners to train/educate them on continuous quality improvement to reduce cost and maximize productivity. Promotes new and innovative thinking around equipment reliability.Key Responsibilities--

• Manage a variety of functions, coordinate activities with various departments.
• Effectively works with managers, supervisors, engineers, and other peers.
• Maintains a safe working environment by actively promoting a safe culture and ensuring rules and regulations are understood and followed.

• Understand, promote, and uphold work rules, safety rules, environmental rules, and company policies and procedures.
• Provide direction through coaching, problem solving, and conflict management.

• Responsible for employee development by providing challenging, stretching tasks and assignments.
• Manage and oversee several front-line maintenance crewsPrepares and conducts monthly team and safety training meetings.Troubleshoots and corrects problems.
• Coordinates plant maintenance operations by communicating with direct supervisors, planners and other production, maintenance, electrical, and instrument personnel.----
• Maintaining all machinery to ensure its at working standard.Typical EducationBachelor's Degree (B.A. or B.S.) from 4 year college or universityRelevant Experience10+ years related experience and/or trainingExperience in chemical or manufacturing plant highly preferredOther InformationWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office applications to include, but not limited to Excel, Word etc. required. Must have the ability to clearly communicate technical information, concepts and ideas verbally and in writing. Must have the ability to identify and resolve problems expeditiously and have strong analytical and interpretation skills while demonstrating good judgment in developing alternative solutions.
