Job Description:
WORK SCHEDULE: Monday through Friday, variable hours based on
caseload. Full- and Part-Time AvailableDEFINITION: Under the
supervision of the Vocational Services Coordinator, develops and
implements vocational programs designed to secure, enhance and
maintain employment of adults with disabilities.GENERAL DUTIES:
Responsible for job development, training, placement and
follow-along of assigned clients.SPECIFIC DUTIES:1. Conducts
orientation to training and placement programs.2. Implements Career
Exploration Program and provides Job Seeking and Survival Skills
training.3. Provides Case Management Services including but not
limited to vocational counseling, coordination with referring and
ancillary agencies, arrangement of staffing, plan development,
monitoring of service delivery, and other client centered tasks.4.
Motivates and assists the client in developing job placement
strategies.5. Develops and maintains a relationship with the
business community for the purpose of placing clients in
competitive employment by doing labor surveys, making cold calls,
attending community functions such as Chamber After Hours and other
needed activities.6. Coordinates community-based services, such as
CSE, CBWA, OJT, with the employer, client and the referring
agency.7. Conducts follow-along activities after placement to
assure success in the competitive employment setting.8. Develops
and maintains a job development book consisting of local job
listings and descriptions.9. Completes all VR, Job Service and
appropriate internal forms.10. Writes individual placement plans,
follow-along reports, termination summaries, and produces other
necessary documentation of training and placement activities.11.
Maintains accurate and complete case records.12. Travels within the
region to carry out job duties.13. Attends and participates in
weekly placement and other rehabilitation meetings.Employment,
Training, Placement, and Support for People with DisabilitiesMAY BE
REQUIRED TO:1. Participate in community activities and committees
related to the goals and objectives of the facility.2. Perform
occasional evening and weekend work.3. Participate in facility
committees4. Give speeches or other presentations about the
facility and its programs.5. Conduct tours of the facility.6.
Conduct in-service training sessions.7. Consult with other agencies
and facilities.8. Attend local and / or regional conferences,
training programs or meetings, which relate to the facility.9.
Provide Direct Training and Maintenance of Behavior Job Coaching as
assigned.10. Assist in the operation and implementation of other
rehabilitation programs as caseload allows.JOB
QUALIFICATIONS:Prefer an individual who has knowledge or experience
relating to the placement of individuals in business and industry.
Should possess the abilities to work in an interdisciplinary
environment and to appropriately represent the agency to the
community. Must have good verbal and writtencommunication skills,
display a sense of responsibility. Must possess a valid driver s
license, must be able to pass a background check and drug test.Job
