Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Orthopedics - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 02/09/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is hiring a night shift RN for a Med/Surg Orthopedics position requiring Epic experience and at least 1 year of recent nursing experience. Responsibilities - Work in a 10-bed orthopedic/medical surgical unit in a hospital setting - Patient population includes individuals with musculoskeletal conditions and those recovering from orthopedic surgeries or injuries - Patient ratio is typically 1:5 - Schedule is night shift, 3x12 hour shifts (18:45 - 07:15) - Uses Epic for charting; Epic experience is required - Provide specialized nursing care to orthopedic patients, including perioperative care, injury management, and patient education - No travel pairs or groups will be considered for this assignment - No more than 3 days of requested time off will be automatically approved - No requested time off (RTO) is permitted during the first week of orientation - First-time travelers are welcome to apply Requirements - Active ID or compact RN license required at the time of consideration - Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS - Minimum 1 year of recent orthopedic or Med/Surg nursing experience - Experience with Epic charting system required - Locals within 50 miles are not eligible; candidates must reside at least 100 miles from the facility - Former permanent staff must be gone at least 1 year before being considered as a traveler Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-661549.
