qualified Med/Surg RN in Pocatello, Idaho, 83201! Pay Information
$1,628 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse
Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours (07:00 - 19:00) Experience:
Minimum 1 year of experience preferred License: Current RN
licensure in the state of Idaho Certifications: Current BLS
certification required. ACLS within 12 months of hire Must-Have:
Must be able to utilize good judgment and demonstrate patience.
Must maintain a professional demeanor at all times. Ability to work
varied shifts and/or days including weekends and holidays.
Description: The Registered Nurse utilizes the knowledge base of
nursing education and experience to deliver nursing care. Nursing
care is provided using the nursing process according to hospital
policies, procedures, and protocols. The RN responds to
life-threatening situations with appropriate nursing interventions.
Organizes care delivery by prioritizing, delegating, delivering,
evaluating, and communicating with all necessary providers.
Demonstrates knowledge and appropriate use of the Nursing Process
for patients across all age groups: infants, pediatrics,
adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Documents thoroughly as care
is delivered, following regulatory and hospital requirements.
Assumes responsibility for clinical competencies and professional
development of self and others. Practices in a clinical environment
through the application of theoretical knowledge and practical
skills. Must be able to work in a busy and stressful environment
where practice changes to meet new patient safety requirements,
goals, or objectives. Computer skills required: Word, Excel,
Outlook, and electronic medical records software. Organizational
skills are essential, along with the ability to prioritize and
manage workload expectations. Interpersonal verbal communication
and advanced math skills are necessary. Skills include accessing
ports, blood product administration, central line blood draws, and
more. Must have experience with a variety of medical scenarios
including but not limited to respiratory failure, trauma, and
post-operative care. Interdisciplinary support includes various
teams such as IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and
social services. Patient diagnoses encompass a wide range including
sepsis, confusion, COPD, bowel obstruction, and pyelonephritis.
