Clinical Assistant Professor, Public Health (1189) Posting Number: req602 9 Month Faculty Non-Tenure Track Division of Health Sciences Pocatello - Main Primary Purpose The primary purpose of this position is to provide statistical assistance and consulting services to faculty, participate as a member of research teams for Kasiska Division of Health Sciences (KDHS) programs, and teach courses in basic epidemiology and biostatistics at the graduate level within the MPH Program and the KDHS. A long-run goal of KDHS is to have an interdisciplinary statistical consulting center. Key Responsibilities Statistical support and participation in pre- and post-award research teams for KDHS faculty: 40-45% Teach and mentor students in the MPH program: 35% Statistical support and research team participation for the MPH faculty: 15% Coordination of statistics curriculum across the KDHS: 5-10% Service to MPH program: 5% Minimum Qualifications PhD or DrPH in biostatistics or statistics. Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills with ability to express complex analytic information to research and clinical faculty. Experience consulting in interdisciplinary teams. Advanced computer skills and expertise in at least one standard statistical software programs. Preferred Qualifications Broad expertise in statistical analysis software including R, SAS, STATA, and SPSS. Analytic and programming experience (SQL) with large administrative datasets (claims, registries, EMR) and diverse study types. Experience with research (publications and grants).
