qualified OR RN in Idaho Falls, Idaho, 83404! Pay Information
$2,110 per week About The Position Job Title: Operating Room Nurse
Profession: RN Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift:
15:00 - 03:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years
License: RN License Certifications: BLS Must-Have: 3 years of
operating room experience Trauma experience Shift and call
flexibility Description: Facility located in Idaho. The unit
consists of 13 operating rooms and 25 RNs on staff. Staff includes
29 certified surgical technologists. The unit operates Monday to
Friday with varying staffing levels based on time of day. Weekend
staff is also required for trauma coverage. Average surgical time
for patients in the room is 50 hours on weekdays. Weekend surgeries
are typically heavier on Saturday than Sunday. The electronic
medical record system utilized is Meditech. Skill Set: Open and
outgoing personality is essential. Forward-thinking approach is
encouraged. Team player mentality is crucial. Excellent critical
thinking skills are required. Typical Procedures: Burn treatment
Including wound debridement and skin grafting. Dental procedures
such as restorations and oral maxillofacial surgeries. ENT
surgeries including tonsillectomies and cochlear implants.
Gastroenterology procedures like EGDs and colonoscopies. General
surgeries encompass a wide range of operations. Gynecological
procedures such as ablations and hysterectomies. Neurosurgery
including spinal fusions and craniotomies. Open heart surgeries
including CABG and femoral popliteal bypass. Ophthalmological
surgeries like vitrectomies and cataract removals. Orthopedic
trauma and joint replacement surgeries. Plastic surgery procedures,
including breast augmentation. Psychiatric procedures such as
electroconvulsive therapy. Robotic surgeries in gynecology,
general, and urology. Trauma surgeries involving damage control
resuscitation. Urological procedures including cystoscopy and TURB.
Weekend and On-Call Requirements: Expect to rotate weekend call
every four weeks. Call is utilized to fill staffing shortages
during evening and night shifts. Call shifts can range from 2 to 12
hours. Efforts are made to limit total hours worked, including
